The team heads to the stunning Rowrah circuit for this weekend’s (25 / 26 April) second round of the British Super 1 Rotax Championship.

The Cumbrian circuit is located in a former quarry and is renowned as a true ‘drivers’ circuit.’

In the Senior category, Luke Varley and Joseph Reilly will be in confident mood after their podium successes in selected club events.

Similarly, Junior star Josh Webster will be keen to capitalize on two strong trophy-winning performances at Rowrah and Buckmore Park as part of his build up to this weekend’s race.

Team manager Warwick Ringham said, “We conducted five days of testing at Rowrah and it was really good, very positive. The boys were all on the pace and in the club races they were back on the podium against strong opposition.”

However, mindful that the weather in the Lakes is renowned for its changeability, he sounded a note of caution “All our testing was conducted in the dry. So, whilst we know we’re fast in the optimum conditions, rain – on the newly resurfaced track – will mean that we’ll have to learn very quickly if we’re to maintain our competitiveness. Everyone likes the circuit but the weather is so temperamental.”

Despite a disappointing opening round of the S1 series at Whilton Mill at the beginning of April, Warwick is confident that the team is ready to bounce back.

“We’re in much better shape than we were at Whilton. All the boys can run in the top ten, quite easily. I’m sure we can do it but the lads just have to put it all together on the day.”

Timed qualifying starts from 12:30 on Saturday (25 April), followed by the first heats from 3:10pm. The racing continues on Sunday from 10:45am and will feature the two points scoring finals for each class in the afternoon.
