Silverware haul at Strawberry Racing
In Adria, Italy – For round 2 of the Rotax Euro Trophy, Strawberry fielded 3 drivers – the two Seniors of Mathilda Olsson who took a whitewash taking overall Pole in timed qualifying, winning all her heats and both finals. Her team mate Jordan Brown Nutley took P8 after a tough final but shone in the heats with top 3’s. Wilgot Edqvist was always at the front consistently and took overall P2 in Junior!
Back in the UK, the X30 team were testing at the newly updated Larkhall Circuit in Scotland for three days ahead of this coming weeks Motorsport UK round and found great pace in Junior and Senior, then deciding to turn up and race at PFI’s anniversary race on Sunday morning after missing all testing and even TQ. Juniors of Josh Rowledge and Aaron Walker started the heats last but after two strong heats and a lot of overtaking started the final P3 and P4!
The rain came in heavily for the final and Walker did a stunning job to take P2. Team mate Piers Henderson took P2 in TQ the day before and after consistently hitting the front in his heats and fastest laps in both started p2 but a lack of wet weather driving over the past 8 months he took overall P4, dry pace would have shown a fight for the win.
Over at Little Rissington the cadet team fielded two drivers preparing for the up coming LGM round and with both taking heat wins Ethan Jeff Hall started P1 and Monde Jr P4, Monde taking P6 and Jeff down to 7th after leading but contact on the last corner saw him drop back, great pace ready for LGM though!
