Strawberry successfully defend European X30 title
IAME European Champions 2019 with Mark kimber
Winners of the final round in Salbris and 3 wins on the bounce for Kimber.
Salbris sealed another great year for the Strawberry Racing Team and cemented them as one of the teams to beat in European X30 competition.
In Senior X30 Kimber was followed up by team mates Olsson and Brown Nutley during the heats, usual front runner Leroux struggling with pace. Rufus Hunt and Raka Mulya had to qualify via the Repercharge which they did so with ease on track but post race would see Raka take a penalty thus knocking him out of proceedings.
Kimber took the win after a hard fought title clinching battle with Olsson, Brown Nutley, Leroux and Hunt fighting hard with mixed endings the best being Olsson in 15th. In Junior testing pace was good but another messy TQ saw lowly start positions for Taylor and Walker. Cian Shields did a great job starting and finishing all 3 heats in P4 giving him a P5 start for the pre final, Taylor 11th and Walker 14th.
With changing conditions and a horrible twist of fate Shields and Taylor missed the cut off to make the grid by seconds thus not being allowed to race, Walker did a good job taking P11 in slippery conditions. So the final saw Aaron Walker do a great job taking P7 at the flag from P11, Cian Shields the drive of the day from P31 to P8 at the flag only to take a nosecone penalty dropping him to P13 and Joseph Taylor also doing a great job coming from P32 start to P11, well done Team!
